Are pop up tents good for camping?
Ah yes, camping! Time in nature makes great memories for a family, couples or just yourself. Camping is a fun and exciting way to enjoy the outdoors, however, there is much to know about it. Read these tips to get the most enjoyment from your camping trip.
Do plenty of research on your camping site and ensure that it offers everything that your group will need. Consider the individual needs of each camper to ensure that everyone is taken care of. This alleviates the need to make supply runs, or worst case, have to end the trip too soon.

Prior to leaving, take a few minutes to make a checklist of everything that you need. There is nothing worse than getting to a campsite and then finding out that you don't have what you need to be comfortable. A checklist is a great aid as you are packing. Try to start getting thing's together several days before you leave so you have plenty of time.

Unless you are a wildlife expert, you should never drink water that you haven't brought to the campsite with you. Water may look crystal clear but actually be home to large canvas tents a host of diseases or bacteria. If you are in an emergency, always choose running water over stagnant water.
Camping's main idea is to generally live off of the land, however, you still need to be well-prepared. While a sleeping bag is obvious, it is still a good idea to bring extra blankets. These can be used for additional padding or for extra warmth on a chilly night.

If you are camping in an area that has loose or very sandy soil, you should make sure that you place large, heavy rocks on top of all the stakes of your tent. This will keep the stakes planted firmly in the ground and your tent from collapsing on its own.
Some inexperienced campers mistakenly set up camp close to the bathrooms. While it may be convenient, it can also be annoying. The bathroom areas are light sources and draw a great deal of traffic. They may end up ruining the entire experience.
